The staff, members of the PCS union, are on strike after the Gallery announced plans to privatise posts and also reneged on a promise to pay the London living wage and amid news that Candy Udwin, Union official at the gallery has been suspended.

Having resisted the bailiffs last week ‘the Bohemians’ continue to squat the 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street. Performers are encouraged to drop by and perform in front of the Grade II listed forge which dates back to 1635! Yesterday an electrician from the ‘Blacklist Support Group’ visited the squat to make the electrics safe.

The squatters were in court facing an ‘Interim Possession Order’ on the Club on Denmark Street part of the historic ‘Tin Pan Alley’. The Squatters are defending the club from ‘redevelopment’ by Consolidated Developments.
